The battery in my car's key fob is dead. It is a CR 2016 and physically looks identical to the CR 2032 (motherboard battery), of which I have a couple spares sitting around. According to the specs I've been able to find online, the CR 2016 is 3V 80 mAH and the CR 2032 is 3V 220 mAH, but I must confess to not having the slightest idea what the Oh yah, 2004 GC Limited with 8cyl and factory tow package. Last week I removed my instrument cluster to fix some bad indicator needles and in the process had the battery (both terminals) unhooked for about 1/2 hour. Everything seemed to be okay except the key fob will not lock/unlock the doors, however it will start the vehicle remotely.
